Philip S. Corwin is the Founding Principal of Virtualaw LLC, a Washington, DC public policy consulting firm focused on the dynamically evolving law of electronic commerce and intellectual property. He is also Of Counsel to Greenberg & Lieberman, a Washington-based law firm specializing in intellectual property and litigation. He has been Counsel to the Internet Commerce Association (ICA) since its founding in 2006 and represents it on ICANN’s Business Constituency; and has also counseled several applicants for new gTLDs as well as other interested parties. As of January 2014 he will begin a two-year term as a member of the Internet Committee on the International Trademark Association (INTA). He has published numerous articles on Internet law and policy issues. Phil previously served as Chairman of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section Committee on Legislation; Washington Liaison for the Science and Technology Section; and Legislative Reporter for the Business Law Section Cyberspace Law Committee. He received his B.A. in Government from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences and his JD from Boston College Law School, is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
